Time for another Weekend Writing Warriors snippet. Every Sunday, I join a bunch of writers through a blog hop and post an 8-10 sentence snippet of my current project. You can click on the link to see what everyone else is up to.
After a brief put painful visit from Christoph, Lotte recovered, but not without the concern of her brothers. This snippet features their response to her first instance of talking after six months of staying silent.
“So what kind of enemy is he talking about?” he asked. “I mean, he sounds like he’s still mad about the breakup.”
I erased what I had and continued, He called me a magic-nixer.
“Never heard of that,” Sam said. “I bet Wikipedia won’t help us out on that.”
He kept saying that I was using him or something—he’s such an idiot.
“So did he curse you as a protection then? Didn’t want you spilling secrets about himself—that he has magic?” he asked, “because any one of us can do that, so his reasoning is lost on me.”
I sighed and shook my head, I think it’s probably deeper than that. Revenge for something I apparently did that sent him over the edge. I’m screwed forever.
Sam is always there for his sister, and you know he’s gonna figure this out for her somehow, someway.
For those curious, you can check out other snippets here. You can also learn more about the novel, Speechless, here. Don’t forget to comment below if you’ve got a snippet to share as well! Compliments and constructive insight are equally welcome.

Sounds like Sam is not going to let this go until he figures out a way to help. Good for him!
Yay for brothers! Thanks for reading. 🙂
The story continues to be extremely intriguing! Great snippet, liked Sam.
Thanks for stopping by!
Unfortunately, we still don’t know what a magic-nixer is.
So dramatic! I’m sure she’ll find a way to get out of this mess.
The plot thickens… nice snippet!
