Time for another Weekend Writing Warriors snippet. Every Sunday, I join a bunch of writers through a blog hop and post an 8-10 sentence snippet of my current project. You can click on the link to see what everyone else is up to.
Last week, Lotte was as patient as possible against Christoph’s taunts and gestures, but she’s not going to remain patient and passive for much longer.
“Justice for what?” I roared as I turned around to face him.
“No need to shout, dearest,” he said, eyes cold. You betrayed my trust by only courting me because you wanted to destroy me. Now I will watch your own undoing.”
I grabbed his collar and looked him right in the eye staring daggers into his apathetic eyes.
If you really think that about me, I thought as hard as I could, then you don’t know me and you never will. So don’t ever accuse me of destroying anything, when you ruined me first.
My hands shook as I walked directly to my car. After I got in my car and saw that I was finally alone, I cursed to myself, knowing that I could’ve been stronger and not said anything aloud to him. I also realized that I still don’t know what a magic-nixer is—ugh, great.
This will give her something to think about until the next time Christoph decides to show up again. Sort of reminds me of this:

Complicated stuff going on between them! Interesting snippet…
Thanks for reading! 🙂
This snippet was awesome and intense, full of info. I loved it! And the GIF made me smile, so thank you for that, too!
Anything I can do to make a WeWriWa snippet that much more interesting. 😉
Brilliant snippet! Great tension going on there, and I love her spirit. Plus, yes, Monty Python :o)
Thanks for reading! I appreciate your kind feedback. 🙂
For some possible mind-reading, these two seem to be really bad at communication!
Haha! Definitely not “Couple of the Year”!
Losing one’s temper can be a natural, but very unhelpful reaction, and it can also let us introduce nice conflict that wouldn’t be possible if our characters were all level-headed.
I personally love it when characters lose their cool; it seems unrealistic when they’re pushed beyond their limits but do nothing.
Love it!
I think they are at a crossroads here. Interesting…
Things are about to get even more complicated right about now, methinks…
You thinks right! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
And it gets more interesting! I like how she’s instantly regretful of losing her cool, but isn’t totally beating herself up about it.
Lotte is meant to be the main character I love seeing and wish there were more of. Hopefully I nail it!
