This is another dialogue focused scene, taking place after a couple of international flights and uncomfortable realizations. They’re beginning to realize that they may have to go further than either of them expected to uncover the truth.
Rebbekah bit her lip, pacing and thinking. After a solid minute she stopped.
“The Coatzacoalcos River. They started excavations for waterworks there in 2008 and came across some artifacts. All they found was evidence of the ancient fishing trade, though; no artifacts with cryptic hints about why a psycho millionaire would want to start killing researchers and archaeologists.”
“They didn’t have us, though.”
