Writing Updates & Goals
I basically dropped the ball with my Destiny Seeker part two outline. With all the general fun, mayhem, and work that February brought, I just didn’t have time. I also realized that it wasn’t necessary to do at this time. I will likely properly attend to this after part one gets published, that way I can incorporate any feedback I get from book reviews. Well, I’m also participating in Camp NaNoWriMo in April, so I will probably get a few big items out of the way during that time, too. Who knows? Not this pantser, apparently.
I’ll also continue to rock my Goodreads 50-book challenge. Surprise, surprise: I read three books in February, and they were all wonderful! I’m still in the middle of that fourth book but I’m still on track to reach 50 books. This month, I’ll be breezing through all my graphic novels I’m dying to read.
Travis is just about finished with his edits for Destiny Seeker. It’s going through the ringer yet again and I’m anxious to see what he says. This upcoming month will be focused on formatting all the text!

Y’all really liked the mental health post I recently shared; I’ll be sharing small mental health tips in each newsletter, so join in even just for those.
I also just shared my first full sneak peak of my cover for Destiny Seeker! Eeep! I’ve been teasing it a bit on Instagram, so I wanted to reward my newest subscribers with the sneak peak! Once I finalize the cover text, I’ll be able to share the final version.

What’s Coming in March?
To give you a sneak peak of what’s to come in March, here’s a quick list:
New Book Reviews: I recently subscribed to F-BOM, and so I’m getting a steady flow of feminist indie novels mailed to me. I meant to write a review for Sunbolt but didn’t get to that right away. I’ve been spending lots of time reading ARCs this month, but not necessarily reviewing them quite yet. So prepare for a barrage of reviews!
Blog posts: I’ve been meaning to share my two cents on feminism for a while now, and I got my first post out in February! I have part two and part three in my queue. If you have questions about intersectional feminism and how it relates to feminsim, let me know! Or, if you have suggestions on what you’d like for me to put on blast, send those suggestions my way, too.
I also still plan to write a bit about what I’ve learned about some new social media algorithm changes, plus the new buzz about Vero, so I’ll let you in on my research soon enough. Tell me in the comments if you’re fed up with algorithm changes, or which social media platforms are the most confusing to you. We can figure it out together!
That’s about it from us! We’ve been pretty busy and we know you have been, too. What have you been up to? Let us know and bask in your own glory in the comments section or via social media.
Sounds like you’re still doing great! My totally unsolicited advice: don’t stress too much about starting your sequel until your first book is published. There’s so much to learn about the publishing side, so focus on that and soak up the early reader and review feedback. I’d also recommend documenting your different processes as you go… you’ll be surprised how much you forget about uploading your book to distributors, formatting, etc. between books.
As for your feminism posts, I would love one that is just full of action steps on how to be a better ally and get involved with these causes in our communities. I feel like a lot of what’s missing from this discussion in general is what practical, impactful steps we can take to support each other and feminism in our daily lives. Sometimes people (myself included) just need a little guidance where to start and how to help.
Thank you for the huge bits of suggestions! You’re right about recording the formatting and uploading stuff. Eeesh. The stuff that truly pulls your hair out. I still need to take your advice about setting up the Amazon and Goodreads accounts. Luckily that should only be a one-time thing. And thanks for your input on being a better feminist! I’ll try to make it connect to the writing community as much as I can to keep the audience consistent, but I’ll throw in what I’ve learned if you want to be a better ally in general.
